How much time does all this take?

The answer to this question depends in large part on just how competitive your league is and how much you want to "master" the game. But, generally speaking, you'll at least want to skim the NFL news once or twice per week to see if any of your players are injured, about to lose their job, etc. You will also need to go in and select a starting lineup once each week some time prior to kickoff of the first NFL game.

In the simplest leagues you can spend as little as 5-10 minutes per week on your team, while in highly competitive leagues you can spend hours scanning the services like the FootballDieHards.com, making trade proposals and speculating as to how your players will perform in the coming week.

The Bills are in the hunt for unrestricted free agent Billy Volek, who spent the last four years with the Tennessee Titans. Volek, who visited Buffalo on Monday, also is being pursued by Atlanta, Tennessee and Denver.

"We have interest," team president Tom Donahoe said. "We wanted to get him in here for a visit to make sure he has interest in us, which it appears that he does. Were going to put something together to present to his agent and see where it goes."

The Falcons have shown the most interest so far, hosting Volek on two visits.

"Billy had a good meeting in Buffalo and is interested," said Voleks agent, Ken Staninger. "We kind of need to know something soon, because Buffalo is a little behind (in the pursuit). Atlanta has been working on this for a week to 10 days, and Tennessee has been working on it since August."

The Bills, of course, also could look to the draft for a backup quarterback, whether they sign Volek or not.','3/17/2004 4:30:47 PM','4:30:47 PM','Wednesday'4676,2004,1042 6604,9,75,'Roundup: Galloway Decision Imminent & More','According to Associated Press sports writer Jaime Aron, Drew Henson can finally be considered a member of the Dallas Cowboys. And the same could soon be said of Keyshawn Johnson -- Joey Galloway willing.

Galloway will spend Thursday night deciding whether to accept a one-year contract with Tampa Bay that could be worth $2.6 million if he earns all incentives, according to a source close to negotiations who spoke with Aron on condition of anonymity.

If he takes it, hell be dealt for Johnson. If not, the deal is off, and the Cowboys likely would have to wait for Tampa Bay to release Johnson -- probably by April 1, when hes owed a $1 million bonus the Bucs have no intention
