deal for Feeley next Wednesday, Fiedler will have almost eight times the number of starts -- 53 -- as the rest of the quarterbacks on the roster. Feeley, Clint Stoerner and Sage Rosenfels have a combined seven starts.

In New Orleans. ... Saints running back Deuce McAllister was involved in "some sort of altercation" at a Bourbon Street bar about 6:45 p.m. Fat Tuesday, New Orleans Police Department spokesman Paul Accardo said Thursday.
Whether McAllister was actively involved or caught in a fight between others is unclear, Accardo said.
The NOPD is investigating the incident. No one was arrested or given a summons, police said.
"We are trying to find out what actually happened," Accardo said.
According to New Orleans Times-Picayune staffer Jeff Duncan, Accardo didnt know if McAllister was injured because he left the scene of his own accord and no ambulance was involved.
"From what we understand, Deuce was trying to mediate the situation and ended up being a victim," Saints general manager Mickey Loomis said. "We are 100 percent in his corner."
Loomis declined comment on McAllisters condition.
McAllister, 25, has no obligation to the team until the offseason conditioning program begins March 29, team officials said.
Also according to Duncan, the Saints offered one-year contract tenders to four free agents and signed veteran wide receiver Germane Crowell to a one-year contract Thursday.
Crowell did not play in 2003 after being released by Detroit on Feb. 25. He was originally selected by the Lions in the second round (50th overall) of the 1998 NFL draft. In 54 games and 33 starts with the Lions, he made 184 catches for 2,722 yards and 16 touchdowns. He was limited to nine games in 2002 because of injuries to his knees. He caught 22 passes and averaged 9.1 yards per catch.
