"Jamal Lewis denies any involvement in any criminal activity or any activity involving drugs," Atlanta lawyer Ed Garland, who represents Lewis, said shortly after Duffeys announcement.

Owens and his agent David Joseph failed to send in the proper paperwork and void his deal. Rather than becoming a free agent he now has another three years remaining with the San Francisco 49ers.
Owens was slated to become a free agent next week and has made no secret of his desire to join a new team.
In the past six years Owens failed to reach the 1,100 yards just once. Last year he broke his collarbone yet still showed up for the Pro Bowl. He has had seasons of 1,300, 1,412 and 1,451 yards receiving. He has also averaged less than 13 yards per catch just once in his career.
