How Do I Score Points

Points are scored in fantasy football in a variety of ways. Scoring categories may vary from league to league but in the majority of leagues players are rewarded for both the points they score on the field as well as the yards they gain for their team during the course of a game.

For example, your league may reward running backs six points for each touchdown they score to mimic the real game of football -- as well as one point for each fifteen rushing yards they produce during a game.

Depending upon how your league is set up, you'll likely be asked to select a group of "starters" each week from your active roster. And just like an NFL team, you'll likely have to select a quarterback, 1-2 running backs, 2-3 receivers, a specialty team, a defense a kicker and other positions

with me."

Asked if Lewis had informed him of his decision, Kitna said, "Marvin will answer that (in the media) when hes ready."

Kitna continued by saying that if he were not the starter, he no longer would be a team or offensive unit spokesman in the media because "that would not be my job. That would be Carsons job."

Lewis said the decision is more difficult now than it was last year.

"Now we put ourselves two years behind, maybe, where we could be as a football team," he said. "If youre standing here a year from now and have won a worlds championship, you feel pretty good about it. I dont know if we can sit here right now and see through the tea leaves like that."

Lewis said if he chooses Palmer, the job would be Palmers to lose; the same conditions applied to Kitna in 2003. Lewis has said the starter would take the field with the offense at this years first mini-camp, May 7-9.

"Im still trying to figure out how its not going to be a big deal," Lewis said of the decision. ...

Also at the combine, Lewis claims the Bengals have received no inquiries from the other 31 NFL teams regarding the veteran halfback.

Asked if the Bengals were shopping Dillon, Lewis said, "No comment."

Lewis admitted he didnt like Dillons public comments in December that he wanted to be traded and Dillons tossing of equipment into the stands after the season finale Dec. 28 at Paul Brown Stadium.

"His actions were not what I would have liked, but you forget them," Lewis said. "Its over. Lets move forward and lets see whats best. Corey and I have been fine since I took over.

"Im confident that I can handle our football team, and our football team will go play and put that behind us."

Lewis also said he and Dillon have spoken recently, but wouldnt divulge the topics covered.

According to Curnutte, league insiders say the Dallas Cowboys are not interested in Dillon. Tampa Bay is most often referenced as the other team that seems like the best fit for a Dillon trade.

However, newly-hired Arizona coach Dennis Green called Dillon "a fine player, who
