Brown had not practiced all week and did not travel with the team to New England. However, ESPN insider Chris Mortensen reported this morning that Brown told the coach he skipped practice because he was bummed out by the teams disappointing season.
Although hes been playing hurt -- and some might argue hes highly overrated, Browns absence certainly cant help a unit that will also be without tackle Mike Williams and has already given up a league-high 46 sacks this year.
And as Rochester Democrat & Chronicle beat man Sal Maiorana noted this morning, if the Bills dont gain at least 250 yards of total offense today, they will set a team futility record for fewest yards in a 16-game season.
The old mark is 4,341, set in the 2-14 abomination of 1984.
And if the Patriots hold Buffalo to less than seven points, the Bills will have compiled their second-fewest points in a 16-game schedule.
