Instead of getting worse as he continues to play, McNair has gradually improved.
"Hes better today than he was last Friday prior to the game," Fisher said. "So thats encouraging."
McNair spent part of Friday exercising inside and part outside, riding a stationary bike and watching the team practice. He said he expects it to be another "Dreaded Game-Time Decision" to determine if he plays against the Buccaneers.
"Well see at warmups," he said. "If it was just one leg I could deal with it. Its both legs giving me problems right now."
Neil ODonnell, who signed with the team last week, has improved with a full week of preparation, Fisher said.
"Hes benefited from not only the stuff that he did last week that didnt carry over into the game because he didnt play, but also hes had the whole week of preparation," Fisher said. "Hes much better suited to play if he has to."

According to ESPN insider John Clayton, Derrick Mason, listed as questionable with an injured rib, returned to practice Friday putting him on track to hit the field against the Bucs.
If he plays as expected -- and theres no reason at this point to believe he wont, the veteran receiver is expected to wear a protective vest.
