How Do I Play Fantasy Football

"Traditional" fantasy football leagues involve a group of players - typically friends, relatives or co-workers - who all know each other and can discuss their successes and failures with each other every week.

But fantasy football is also a game that can easily be played online with a group of fellow football fans that you've never met. Leagues can be as large or small as you'd like. Generally, leagues for beginners have approximately 8-10 teams, but a league can be formed with just a handful of teams all the way up to a large group of 50 or more owners.

Regardless of how a league is formed, player selection is usually the most important part of the season. In draft based games, and in those cases where geography - and busy schedules - will allow, teams can be selected in person via a "draft", typically held at an owner's house, or some public venue capable of hosting a meeting.

Davis seemingly came out of nowhere to become the most productive offensive rookie in the AFC. If not for the fact he didnt start until the sixth game of the season, Davis would have a great shot at winning the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year award, which is expected to go to Arizona receiver Anquan Boldin.

In nine starts since replacing Stacey Mack, Davis has four 100-yard rushing games and has rushed for at least 68 yards in three of the other five starts. He had 109 yards and two touchdowns in the Texans 30-21 loss this season at Indianapolis.

Rookie receiver Andre Johnson also has a little extra motivation for Sundays game. Hes 75 yards shy of 1,000 receiving yards, and no team has ever had a 1,000-yard rookie runner and rookie
