the youngster was the primary ballcarrier last Sunday and Jamel White has become increasingly sullen in recent weeks -- much to Davis chagrin.

Fiedlers inconsistent play means the team could decide to part ways with its starter since 2000. Backup Brian Grieses $5 million base salary makes him unattractive after he failed to supplant Fiedler during what has arguably been the latters worst season in four years as the Dolphins starter.
Cunningham believes team officials must decide whether one of the veteran quarterbacks expected to be available in the off-season can help them more than Fiedler. Its just not clear at this point, though, who will make that and other decisions.
Head coach Dave Wannstedt has stuck with Fiedler from the start, but Wannstedts future is uncertain after the team failed to make the playoffs and fell well short of owner H. Wayne Huizengas expectations.
Huizenga apparently is contemplating hiring a general manager, changing the football power structure the franchise has used for 30 years. So even if Wannstedt stays as coach, a new GM might hold a different opinion of Fiedler.
Whomever ultimately decides Fiedlers future will compare him against a free-agent market that might include three proven starters: St. Louis Kurt Warner, San Franciscos Jeff Garcia and Jacksonvilles Mark Brunell.
