A popular rumor involves a scenario in which Jauron keeps his job -- but only if he replaces Shoop and perhaps some other offensive assistants.
"I have not heard of that," Shoop said. "Ive said what I want to say about coach Jauron and our jobs, and my focus really is to beat the Kansas City Chiefs. And our offense and our team, I feel, is very focused on that goal, and thats what I want to stick with."
Although I find it hard to believe he hasnt heard the rumors, I cant fault Shoop for his approach. The good news? He wont be an issue -- one way or the other -- much longer.

According to the Sports XChange, with Dez White (knee) already ruled out, rookie Justin Gage (questionable, knee) looking less likely to play with each passing day and Marty Booker bothered by a toe injury, Bobby Wades role is expected to expand.
The fifth-round pick from Arizona, who was taken 139th overall, four picks ahead of Gage, began the season as the Bears punt returner but was benched for four games after fumbling a punt inside his 10-yard line. However, when Booker missed three games with a sprained ankle, Wade got back on the field and had 7 catches for 92 yards. Last week he caught 2 passes for 16 yards.
"It was an up and down year for me," Wade said. "I think Ive learned all that I can possibly learn this year from the changes I went through. I know I grew up a lot as far as on-the-field and off-the-field things and trying to really adapt and find myself in the realm of the team atmosphere, and thats hard to do as a rookie.
