How Do I Play Fantasy Football

"Traditional" fantasy football leagues involve a group of players - typically friends, relatives or co-workers - who all know each other and can discuss their successes and failures with each other every week.

But fantasy football is also a game that can easily be played online with a group of fellow football fans that you've never met. Leagues can be as large or small as you'd like. Generally, leagues for beginners have approximately 8-10 teams, but a league can be formed with just a handful of teams all the way up to a large group of 50 or more owners.

Regardless of how a league is formed, player selection is usually the most important part of the season. In draft based games, and in those cases where geography - and busy schedules - will allow, teams can be selected in person via a "draft", typically held at an owner's house, or some public venue capable of hosting a meeting.

Online leagues — or leagues where the owners are simply unable to get together in person - hold their drafts via the Internet. Over the past few years, technology has allowed the interfaces for online drafts to become much more user-friendly, meaning that beginners and experts alike can easily select an entire team in a short period of time.

confidence in our team. Hopefully they can win it without me. I wish I had played last Sunday."

Warrick, who is just five days removed from arthroscopic knee surgery, said he couldnt have played Wednesday. He didnt practice, but neither he nor Lewis ruled him our for the weekend.

"Its going to be a game-time situation. Its all going to boil down to me. How my mind is. When youre hurting, and its in the back of your mind. Are you thinking about it? If its just go play and not thinking about it, it will be all right."

Warrick missed just the second game of his 63-game career last Sunday in St. Louis and the Bengals missed him. Jon Kitna said two of the benchmarks that show how much the Bengals have improved over last season are their third-down percentage and touchdown percentage in the red zone. They are fourth in the NFL in third-down efficiency and are seventh in red-zone efficiency.

Of Warricks 75 career-high catches, 23 have come on third down, eighth best in the AFC. Four of his career-high seven touchdowns have come inside the 20 and one was from the 21.

"Hes a big part of our plan in those situations," Kitna explained. "Hes someone who has learned what defenses are trying to do."

And finally....

According to the Sporting News, Kitna suffered a mild right ankle sprain at St. Louis but is not listed on the injury report and the veteran signal caller will start and play as usual. this weekend.','12/25/2003','2:10:00 AM','Thursday',930 6496,4,17,'McGahee Resigned To Sitting Until Next Season...','According to Associated Press sports writer John Wawrow, Willis McGahee will likely have to wait until next year to make his NFL debut.

"No," the first-round draft pick said, when asked if hes playing in Saturdays game at New England.
