Fisher said whether McNair starts against the Texans tomorrow in Houston will be a game-time decision.
McNair suffered a cracked bone spur in the Dec. 7 game against the Colts and sat out last weeks game against the Bills. He warmed up before the Buffalo game but said he couldnt play.
"If Steve is not comfortable like beforehand last week, then Steve wont play," Fisher said. "If he cannot get under center and move around ... and protect himself, he is not going to play."
Neil ODonnell took all the snaps with the first-team offense yesterday and reported no soreness from Thursday, his first day of practice since August. Yesterday he got reacquainted with throwing passes while wearing shoulder pads.
