In an article published Monday, Pro Football Weekly noted that Aaron Brooks has been feeling the heat for the teams inconsistency and fumbling problems, but he hasnt lost the support of his teammates.
In fact, Joe Horn, one of the most vocal players in the locker room, said that he has apologized to Brooks for complaining earlier in the season about not getting the ball enough. Horn believes the entire team should show Brooks their support, but some sources say such coddling of Brooks shows that he isnt mentally tough enough to become an elite player.
The report went on to suggest that head coach Jim Haslett, who is growing increasingly frustrated with Brooks inconsistency, might be more patient with Brooks because he realizes the Saints receiving corps has been beat up all season.
Of course, it doesnt hurt that Brooks flashed his immense potential last Sunday, throwing five TD passes in a 45-7 rout of the Giants.

According to the Sporting News, fullback Terrelle Smith is expected to miss his second consecutive game because of a painful staph infection in his chin. Smith is listed as questionable but wont be able to play.
