Also according to Prisco, there has been some talk lately that Williams might keep his job, but word is the Bills have already decided to let Williams go. That could mean Jim Haslett could be going to Buffalo. Haslett played with the Bills and his wife is from that area.
Haslett doesnt have an out clause in his contract, but sources indicate the Saints would let him go if a request was made. Haslett and Bills general manager Tom Donahoe are good friends.','12/19/2003','5:00:00 PM','Friday',897 6464,6,16,'Clark, Gilmore Resume Workouts On A Limited Basis...','According to chicagobears.com senior writer Larry Mayer, tight ends Desmond Clark (toe) and John Gilmore (back) participated in some drills Friday and are expected to play despite being listed as questionable on the injury report.
"Both Desmond and John practiced a little bit -- not a lot, but at least they were out there," said head coach Dick Jauron. "Im optimistic well have both back for Sunday in some capacity. Weve just got to wait and see how much they can do."
Even if both men play, coaches might have to rely on Gabe Reid at times this Sunday.
Reid, a 6-foot-4, 260-pounder who played at Brigham Young, was signed off Tennessees practice squad on Nov. 29.
The Bears other tight end, Dustin Lyman, was placed on injured reserve Tuesday because of a bruised spleen.
"First of all, we dont think [Reid starting] will happen, but it would affect our run game more than anything else," Jauron said on Thursday. "But there are things that Gabe is comfortable with, blocking, and there are other things that right now hes not. He just hasnt done them with us, so we would have to do some switching up and we would have to be careful of what we called.
"But hopefully that wont be the situation and were optimistic that it wont be."
