the offseason to correct his broken right thumb.
Favre broke the thumb in the Oct. 19 loss to the St. Louis Rams, and while he hasnt missed any action since, he said the thumb hasnt healed at all.
"Of all the injuries Ive had, this is the first broken bone," Favre said. "This is the first time it may require surgery during the offseason."
Earlier this week, head coach Mike Sherman indicated that Favres thumb hasnt had a dramatic effect on Favres play, something that is supported by the four touchdowns Favre threw on Sunday against the San Diego Chargers.

"Whenever I feel my thumb, I can feel the crack," Favre said. "That just makes my stomach turn."
The final determination on whether Favre will have surgery likely wont come until the offseason, assuming Favre doesnt injure the thumb further.
"It will be after the season, unless something happened between now and then," Favre said. "I hope I dont re-injure it, but theres always the chance of that if I take the splint off.
"Theres a fracture there that, in my opinion, from looking at the X-ray, has not gotten better," Favre said. "If it
