Assistant coaches are responsible for their players, how they play. If they play their assignments, play with effort, thats all you can ask of your assistant coaches."
Spurrier did not elaborate on what he means by "restructure, reorganize, regroup," deferring such questions until the end of the season. Such words are usually associated with front office shakeups, an area over which Spurrier has no control with the Redskins.
Spurrier has final say over his assistants under his contract with owner Dan Snyder. If Snyder requests or demands changes, Spurrier could resist out of loyalty to his staff, setting up a possible offseason showdown.
Asked about his relationship with Snyder, Spurrier said: "Oh, its pretty good. Yeah, were OK. Yeah, hes been very supportive."
Last week, Snyder gave a one-word answer -- "absolutely" -- when asked by the Washington Post whether Spurrier would be back.

But thats because he had to throw, early and often. Tennessee jumped out to a 21-0 lead, forcing Houston to abandon the run and throw the ball 42 times.
If Carr plays this Sunday against the Titans -- and according to Toole, it looks like he will -- the Texans will have to produce positive yards on the ground to help him out. Trouble is, Houston has averaged just 67.5 rushing yards the past two games, compared to a 184.5-yard average for the opposition. And now the Texans face the leagues best defense against the run.
