Sundays game against the Bears with a stress fracture in his right toe.
But he sat out practice on Wednesday and head coach Steve Spurrier seemed unsure about what exactly hell ask of his star receiver this weekend.
"He wants to play Sunday and he usually feels pretty good on game day, but there is some conversation of resting him if we need to," Spurrier said after practice. "Obviously its bothering him a little bit more than it was earlier, and if it looks like it is, then well put somebody else in there. ..."
Meantime, the Redskins are expected to go with a similar running back rotation as in last Sundays Dallas game. Rock Cartwright started and was backed up by Chad Morton and John Simon.
Ladell Betts is listed as doubtful for the Bears game with an injured left forearm and Trung Canidate is questionable with an ankle sprain. Canidate did not practice; Betts did some light running but did not participate in any drills.
Wide receiver Taylor Jacobs (sprained foot), defensive end Bruce Smith (sore knee) and linebacker LaVar Arrington (sprained knee) also sat out practice on Wednesday.

According to Associated Press sports writer Joseph White, Spurrier sought Wednesday to quell reports he is considering changes to his coaching staff. Otherwise, it appears a different look is in store for Spurriers third year.
"Ive never mentioned anything about changing coaches," Spurrier said. "All Ive said is weve got to do something different around here. Weve got to restructure, reorganize, regroup, whatever you want to call it."
The Redskins are 5-9, guaranteeing a second straight losing season under Spurrier. Many of his assistants are relatively inexperienced in NFL terms, but the coach has stood by his staff and taken the blame himself.
