He has the size (6-3, 258) and downfield speed the team loves. Smith showed glimpses of talent as a rookie and seems to be gaining a better grasp of the West Coast offense. As Eckel summed up: "Once Smith masters it, he could be a Pro Bowl player."
While theres still some question as to whether this is the year that happens, Spadaro advised readers today that Smith is definitely gaining.
