How much time does all this take?

The answer to this question depends in large part on just how competitive your league is and how much you want to "master" the game. But, generally speaking, you'll at least want to skim the NFL news once or twice per week to see if any of your players are injured, about to lose their job, etc. You will also need to go in and select a starting lineup once each week some time prior to kickoff of the first NFL game.

In the simplest leagues you can spend as little as 5-10 minutes per week on your team, while in highly competitive leagues you can spend hours scanning the services like the FootballDieHards.com, making trade proposals and speculating as to how your players will perform in the coming week.

"It was just one heartbeat, offense and defense," he said. "The chemistry here is great and they know how to win football games. ..."

And its hard to argue his point.

One last note here. ... Despite giving up a second-rounder for Dillon, the Patriots still have two first-round picks, a second-round selection, another in the third and two in the fourth.','04/21/2004','17:20','Wednesday'4372,2004,1071 6628,25,75,'Not So Fast; Martz Says Warner Isnt Gone Yet','According to Associated Press sports writer R.B. In case you missed it, reports emanating from team headquarters late Monday and early Tuesday made it sound as if Warners departure was "all but" official.

As St. Louis Post-Dispatch beat man Jim Thomas initially reported it Monday night: "Marc Bulger is the Rams future at quarterback, and Kurt Warner has one foot out the door.

"That has become almost a foregone conclusion as the weeks have gone by this offseason. But on Monday it became official. Or at least, all but official."

Thomas went on to advise readers that Martz sat down with Bulger on Monday and informed him that he would be the Rams starting quarterback in 2004.

In a separate Monday meeting, Martz sat down with Warner, informed him of the decision to go
