How much time does all this take?

The answer to this question depends in large part on just how competitive your league is and how much you want to "master" the game. But, generally speaking, you'll at least want to skim the NFL news once or twice per week to see if any of your players are injured, about to lose their job, etc. You will also need to go in and select a starting lineup once each week some time prior to kickoff of the first NFL game.

In the simplest leagues you can spend as little as 5-10 minutes per week on your team, while in highly competitive leagues you can spend hours scanning the services like the FootballDieHards.com, making trade proposals and speculating as to how your players will perform in the coming week.

some football games. ... I just want to have some stability as far as where I would like to be, and there is nothing wrong with me saying that. So if nothing is done, then everything is just status quo. Maybe well talk again next year."

Wyatt went on to remind readers that George had minor surgeries on a knee and ankle this offseason. He said he began working out and running a few weeks ago, though hes still not able to cut. He wont participate in a two-day mini-camp beginning tomorrow.

Head coach Jeff Fisher and George had dinner last month and discussed the upcoming season.

"He said Im not going to get the ball 40 times a game," said George, who rushed for 1,031 yards and five touchdowns last season. "Obviously, I dont mind, I just want to be able to get my carries and do what I am capable of doing. ..."

In a related note. ... The Sports XChange recently advised readers that Tennessees ever-shifting strategy at fullback appears to be shifting back to the use of same.

And at recent workouts, Robert Holcombe looked to have put on some significant weight.

"Can you say fullback?" Fisher joked when asked about Holcombes weight gain. "His role is moving more into fullback position, so bulk and strength become more of an issue for him. He loves it. ... And is willing to do whatever it takes to help us win."

Throughout his six-year career Holcombe has taken turns at fullback. Listed at 208 last season, his number will be bigger when he next officially hits the scales.

Tennessee usually gives up on the idea of any extensive use of the fullback, preferring instead to go with an H-back. But according to the XChange, with the roster down to two tight ends, Holcombe is at the very least a contingency plan that will give the team some flexibility. ...
