And in San Francisco. ... According to Sporting News columnist Dan Pompei, if Tim Rattay falters as the quarterback of the 49ers, second-year man Ken Dorsey could be a factor for San Francisco.
Dorsey has gained 25 pounds since he came into the league and now weighs more than 220. As a result, the 49ers believe he has improved his arm strength and durability.
Pompei added: "Dorsey also has impressed the coaching staff with his relentless will to improve."','04/07/2004',,'Thursday'5300,2004,1065 6622,3,75,'Roundup: Boller 100%; Northcutt Files Grievance & More','According to Baltimore Sun staff writer Brent Jones, a month after arthroscopic surgery on his left shoulder, Ravens quarterback Kyle Boller pronounced his non-throwing arm solid and has resumed throwing with receiver Travis Taylor at the teams training facility.
"Im 100 percent and doing every weightlifting exercise," Boller said.
Jones went on to advise readers the Boller-Taylor combination plans on getting together three times a week until training camp with the expectation that such extensive offseason work will pay off during the regular season.
For Boller, who recently purchased a home in the area, that means year-round residency in Maryland.
