There were 13 different pro football coaches in 1953. The Green Bay Packers had multiple coaches. Paul Brown led his team, the Cleveland Browns, to the best record at 11 - 1. Ultimately, though the top coaching job would go to Buddy Parker of the Detroit Lions because he led his team to the Championship.
