1979 Tight End Fantasy Leaders By Position

The best fantasy point season for a tight end in 1979 was Raymond Chester of the Oakland Raiders who averaged 5.97 points per game over 14 games. Chester had 58 receptions, 712 receiving yards and 8 receiving touchdowns which contributed to his fantasy total of 83.60 points. Ozzie Newsome, Russ Francis, Henry Childs and Jimmie Giles had the other top 1979 tight end fantasy seasons.
