1972 Wide Receiver Fantasy Leaders By Position

The best fantasy point season for a wide receiver in 1972 was Gene Washington of the San Francisco 49ers who averaged 8.42 points per game over 14 games. Washington had 46 receptions, 918 receiving yards and 12 receiving touchdowns which contributed to his fantasy total of 117.90 points. Rich Caster, Harold Jackson, Fred Biletnikoff and Frank Pitts had the other top 1972 wide receiver fantasy seasons.
