1972 Running Back Fantasy Leaders By Position

The best fantasy point season for a running back in 1972 was Larry Brown of the Washington Redskins who averaged 18.10 points per game over 12 games. Brown had 1,216 rushing yards, 8 rushing touchdowns, 32 receptions, 473 receiving yards and 4 receiving touchdowns which contributed to his fantasy total of 217.25 points. Ron Johnson, Floyd Little, Emerson Boozer and Calvin Hill had the other top 1972 running back fantasy seasons.
