1970 Running Back Fantasy Leaders By Position

The best fantasy point season for a running back in 1970 was Ron Johnson of the New York Giants who averaged 14.22 points per game over 14 games. Johnson had 1,027 rushing yards, 8 rushing touchdowns, 48 receptions, 487 receiving yards and 4 receiving touchdowns which contributed to his fantasy total of 199.05 points. MacArthur Lane, Larry Brown, Mel Farr and O.J. Simpson had the other top 1970 running back fantasy seasons.
