1956 Running Back Fantasy Leaders By Position

The best fantasy point season for a running back in 1956 was Rick Casares of the Chicago Bears who averaged 17.23 points per game over 12 games. Casares had 1,126 rushing yards, 12 rushing touchdowns, 23 receptions, 203 receiving yards and 2 receiving touchdowns which contributed to his fantasy total of 206.75 points. Ollie Matson, Hugh McElhenny, Alan Ameche and Alex Webster had the other top 1956 running back fantasy seasons.
