1979 Quarterback Fantasy Leaders By Position

The best fantasy point season for a quarterback in 1979 was Brian Sipe of the Cleveland Browns who averaged 18.97 points per game over 16 games. Sipe had 3,793 passing yards, 28 passing touchdowns, 178 rushing yards and 2 rushing touchdowns which contributed to his fantasy total of 303.45 points. Steve Grogan, Dan Fouts, Jim Zorn and Roger Staubach had the other top 1979 quarterback fantasy seasons.
