1977 NFL Season

In 1977 the Dallas Cowboys finished with the best record in the league at 12 and 2, and they went on to win the Super Bowl against the Denver Broncos. Joe Ferguson led the league in passing yards with 2,803, Walter Payton led the league in rushing yards with 1,852 and Drew Pearson lead the league in receiving yards with 870. The top fantasy point producers for the season were Walter Payton with 21.05 points per game, Roger Staubach with 15.72 points per game and Joe Ferguson with 15.43 points per game. Some of the top fantasy games were Walter Payton with 38.65 points against the Kansas City Chiefs, Wayne Morris with 34.85 points against the New Orleans Saints and Walter Payton with 34.65 points against the New Orleans Saints.
