Some amazing single season stats have been turned in over the years. Examples include the 2105 rushing yards in a single season by Eric Dickerson in 1984, the 55 touchdown passes by Peyton Manning in 2013 and the 31 total touchdowns by LaDainian Tomlinson in 2006. Although many of the single season stat leaders have occurred within the past 25 years, there are still a couple of single season stat records that have stood the test of time such as the total pass interceptions thrown in a single season by George Blanda with 42 in 1962.
